Helpful Links

Here are some links that you might find entertaining…

Arts

  • National Endowment for the Arts: A widespread government agency committed to supporting the arts.
  • Oddity Central: This website is great. It’s full of strange and funny art news stories that always provide great entertainment.

Music

  • Jambase.com: Includes brief information about tons of jam bands on the scene. You can look each one up individually, find out where they’re touring, see pictures, listen to music, learn about new bands, etc, etc, etc.
  • World Music News Wire: This music news site focuses on happenings with world music. It’s great to get a look at what other countries are doing with music today.

Books

  • New York Times Book Reviews: Here you can find out what critics think of the latest books released, find out about future releases, and take a look back at older books, too.
  • Paperback Swap: This is a great site for the avid reader. You can trade books with other members for free. You pay to mail another member one of your books and another member pays to mail you a book. It’s a fair swap!

Food

  • Hungry Girl: I have been and will be mentioning many more recipes from the Hungry Girl website. It contains information about eating healthier, has recipes, forums, and even daily tips on how to keep your body on the right track.

Movies

  • Internet Movie Database (IMDB): You can browse movies, watch trailers, watch clips, find out about actors, see pictures, and find out what’s releasing soon. This is the motherload of all movie-related information sites.
